Product Manager

Healthcare Initiatives | Clinical AI | Clinical Informatics

I’m a Product Manager specializing in healthcare initiatives across various healthcare spaces. My career began in Health Information Management, where I developed a strong foundation in coding, compliance, and data integrity. That foundation has shaped the way I approach product development today, with a strong focus on process improvement and project management. I have led initiatives at organizations including:

  • Mayo Clinic

  • Oracle America Inc

  • IMO Health, Inc

  • Children's Mercy Hospital

In every role I have connected clinical knowledge with technical expertise to deliver solutions that improve care delivery, streamline processes, and create measurable value. I believe the best products in healthcare are built with empathy, collaboration, and a relentless focus on patient impact.

Healthcare is too important to stay the same. We must use artificial intelligence not as a replacement for clinicians, but as a trusted tool that helps them discover more, make better decisions, and care for patients with greater precision. The future of healthcare will be defined by how well we connect people, data, and technology. My vision is to ensure that the products we build empower clinicians, streamline clinical processes, support insurance and operational workflows, and ultimately improve programs and tools that benefit patients and humans as a whole.

At Oracle America, Inc, I focused on advancing clinical AI applications that connected structured and unstructured data to power better insights. I led initiatives for the Semantic Knowledge Graph, which linked medications, conditions, and labs to improve decision support and accelerate product innovation. I also contributed to Intelligent Prior Authorization, creating workflows that leveraged CPT, LCD, and NCD policies to reduce provider burden and improve turnaround times. By collaborating with cross-functional teams in terminology, data science, and engineering, I delivered scalable processes and requirements that enabled AI products to be validated, curated, and deployed with clinical accuracy and efficiency.

Lead Product Manager, Clinical Terminology

At Mayo Clinic, I managed the Discover product within the nSights platform, enabling clinicians, researchers, and partners to explore large-scale datasets for clinical insights and innovation. I drove initiatives in digital twin development, premium user access, cost visibility dashboards, and generative AI integrations. I partnered with medical directors, engineering, data governance, and analytics teams to shape solutions that supported both internal stakeholders and external partner markets. My work emphasized scalability, market readiness, and product adoption, ensuring that each initiative aligned with Mayo Clinic’s mission to transform care through data and advanced technology.

Digital Product Manager

At IMO, I managed a portfolio of AI-driven products including Precision Normalize, NLP Workbench, and Ambient AI. I partnered with engineering, data science, UX, and commercialization teams to improve entity extraction, normalization, and clinical data quality workflows. My initiatives included developing explainable large language model (LLM) services across problem, procedure, medication, and lab domains, enabling improved clinical concept mapping and interoperability. I also led enhancements to reduce annotation effort, optimize workflows, and strengthen parity with state-of-the-art NLP tools. These efforts supported IMO’s strategic vision of delivering high-quality, clinically validated AI to healthcare organizations worldwide.

Senior Product Owner, Clinical AI

At Cerner, I led product management for NLP and clinical documentation solutions including Chart Assist, Virtual Scribe, and Health Concepts. I collaborated with engineering and downstream product teams to improve accuracy in entity extraction and documentation review tools. My work focused on enabling clinicians to reduce documentation time, improve intent recognition, and enhance clinical decision support. I also contributed to product demos and education, ensuring that complex NLP functionality was accessible and valuable to end users. My time at Cerner cemented my expertise in bridging terminology, NLP, and product strategy to create clinician-friendly solutions.

Senior Product Owner

I began my career at Children’s Mercy in Health Information Management, where I ensured accurate coding, reimbursement, and data integrity. As a Coding and Reimbursement Specialist, I coded across lab, radiology, surgery, and observation accounts using ICD-10-CM and CPT, directly contributing to increased reimbursement revenue and reduced claim denials. I partnered with billing and revenue integrity teams to resolve discrepancies and optimize compliance. As a Data Integrity Analyst, I optimized documentation processes, managed chart availability, and supported HIM operations across multiple specialties. These experiences built the strong clinical and compliance foundation that informs my product management career today.
